On Oct 24th, Quang Ninh’s Department of Culture, Sports signed an agreement with Vinh Yen Times Garden Company on sponsoring the World Circus Festival 2019. The signing ceremony at Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center was attended by Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy.
According to the agreement, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and Vinh Yen Times Garden Company will sponsor to a variety of activities during the festival, including circus street parade with the theme “A new chapter for a wonder”, a circus performance competition, and a workshop on circus and tourism development, an international culinary festival, an OCOP and handicraft exhibition.
The estimated sponsorship is 15 billion VND, 2.4 billion VND of which is extracted from provincial budget, 10 billion VND from Vinh Yen Times Garden Company and the rest from socialized capital.
Taking place from Oct 11-17th, the World Circus Festival – Ha Long 2019 has participation of 100 artists from foreign countries and Vietnam. It is a cultural event for both local people and visitors to Quang Ninh. It also provides an opportunity for the province to introduce its image of tourism and culinary to domestic and international friends.
