On July 18th, Mong Cai City organized a ceremony to receive the ASEAN sustainable urban tourism product Award 2020 for Sa Vi Border Propaganda Information Cluster. Prominent among those attended the ceremony was Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hanh.
The cluster, constructed in 2009 and completed in October 2013, covers a total area of 16 thousands square meters. It situates at the easternmost border of the nation, lying at the Km No.0, in Tra Co Ward, Mong Cai City. The work including square, service area and the main building designed with the symbol of 8 giant concrete casuarina leaves, pointing straight toward the sky, deeply depicting the traditional culture of locals has been recognized as a sustainable tourism product of ASEAN and the world. Previously, on January 16, 2020, within the scope of the 2020 ASEAN tourism forum held in Brunei, Sa Vi Border Propaganda Information Cluster was honorably received ASEAN sustainable urban tourism product Award 2020.
