On Apr. 12, in Ha Long city, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Doc had a courtesy meeting with H.E Lee Hyuk, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (RoK) to Vietnam on the occasion of his visit to Quang Ninh.
At the meeting, the leader of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Doc highly appreciated the cooperation tie between Quang Ninh and provinces of the RoK over the years. Quang Ninh received ODA support from the Rok to implement some important projetcs .Both sides has closely collaborated in exchanging experiences in developing tourism and advertising well-known destinations, in an effort to promote tourism and trade development.
The Secretary wished that the RoK would have more support for the Ha Long University in training Korean language for students. He also hoped after his tenure in Vietnam, the Ambassador would continue helping promote the cooperation relationship in all fields, espeacially in trade and tourism development between the RoK and Vietnam in general, as well as betweeen Quang Ninh and provinces and cities of the RoK in particular.
For his part, Ambassador Lee Hyuk expressed his delight to receive cordial reception from Quang Ninh’s leader. He affirmed that the partnership between the two countries has been effectively developed. Quang Ninh’s Halong Bay is always a most-wanted destination for Korean tourists when they come to Vietnam.
The Ambassador also wished that in the future, Quang Ninh would continue to facilitate Korean investors during their study and projects’ implementation in the province. He pledged that, in his new role as Secretary General of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, he will continue to promote the relations between the RoK and Vietnam, and become a voluntary tourism ambasador to advertise Halong Bay to Korean tourist.
