On Jun. 29, Ha Long City People’s Committee removed all the floating houses and farms which are doing business in Hoa Cương area on Halong Bay.
With the purpose of ensuring envinronmental protection and minimizing negative impacts on traffic circulation for sightseeing tours on Ha Long Bay, Ha Long City People's Committee organised a wide range of activities to convince the owners of the floating houses and farms in Hoa Cuong area to move to Cua Van and Vung Vieng. However, only ten floating houses had voluntarily moved after receiving the announcement from the city authorities. As a result, on June 29, the rest of 29 floating houses have been forced to move to the regulated areas by the functional deparments of Ha Long city.
