This was request of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, during his visit to Mong Cai City on Feb 1st to check and direct the prevention against and control of acute pneumonia caused by 2019-nCoV.
In Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of People’s Council, checked the operation of Mong Cai Municipal Health Care Center. He asked the center members to uphold their responsibilities to do their jobs in order to ensure people’s safety.
After his site survey to the center, Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary, cum Chairman of People’s Council, had a meeting with Mong Cai’s authority and provincial departments and functional bodies. He emphasized that “Mong Cai City is defined as a key to disease prevention and control. Therefore, the disease prevention and control is given top priority not only by the city but also the province”.
He decided to set up 500-bed makeshift hospital at Mong Cai Municipal Health Care Center. The hospital must be fully equipped and operated on Feb 3rd.
In order to ensure public health and effectively prevent and control the disease, 100% Vietnamese people carry out entry procedures via Mong Cai Border Gate must be isolated for health supervision within 14 days.
100% of local people in Mong Cai City will have their health checked prior to Feb 2020.
