"Ha Long Bay - then and now" exhibition opens

As a part of the Ha Long-Quang Ninh Tourism Week 2019, an exhibition themed “Ha Long Bay -  then and now” was officially opened on April 25 at the Cua Van Floating Culture Center.

100 photos displayed at the exhibition under various themes. The “Halong in the past” space features the natural beauty of the Bay, customs and livelihoods of the fishermen, etc. Particularly there are photos of Uncle Ho’s visit to Ha Long Bay, Titov and Tuan Chau islands.

“Ha Long Bay in the present” displays the photos from 1994 since Ha Long Bay was first recognized as the World Natural Heritage up to now, introducing the changes and new look of Ha Long Bay thanks to good preservation and development, becoming one of the leading tourism centers of Vietnam.

The exhibition drew the participation of a large number of the locals and tourists. It is expected to be one the most attractive activities during the National Liberation Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) holidays.

The exhibition will last till May 25.
