Last week in Ha Long city, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau chaired a meeting with a delegation of the Oita OVOP International Exchange Promotion Committee, led by its Head Tadashi Uchida, who came to Quang Ninh to explore the cooperation opportunities in developing Quang Ninh’s OCOP products.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Dang Huy Hau stressed that Quang Ninh has learned experiences from One Village One Products Program (OVOP) of Oita province in developing the One Commune One Product Program in Quang Ninh.
After 4 years, Quang Ninh’s OCOP program has gained remarkable results. As reported, 215 enterprises and production units have joined the OCOP program, creating jobs for nearly 2,500 local employees.
The Vice Chairman hoped that the Oita OVOP International Exchange Promotion Committee would continue support Quang Ninh in developing some of the products at the national and provincial level, striving to have 6 national products, 12 provincial products and 21 local products by 2020.
Besides, he wished Oita province in general and Oita OVOP International Exchange Promotion Committee in particular will support Quang Ninh’s OCOP program, and help develop the program into one of the highlights of the copperation tie between the two sides.
Tadashi Uchida, in turn, said that Quang Ninh gather all favourable conditions for developing the OCOP program. He then stressed the aim of this visit is to study and consider to extend OCOP program and set up a research institute consultingthe program.
The guest also share practical experiences in conducting the OVOP movement in Oita province.
He wished to be offered with the best conditions during his research on the OCOP program in Quang Ninh, which is set in November, 2017, aiming at developing Quang Ninh's OCOP program into a highlight across the nation and the region.
