Quang Ninh has brought home two A, 2 B and 1 C prizes after 3 days of joining the 6th national Then singing festival, which slated for May 13 – 15 in Ha Giang province from 14 provinces and cities.
In addtition, Quang Ninh was also granted with merits by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Border Guard High Command for its outstanding achievements in conservation and promotion of cultural values of the border ethnic minority groups.
Nearly 60 performances by artists from the 14 participating provinces were performed during the festival, with one mutual purpose of rasing the people’s awareness about conservation and promotion of the values of the Then heritage.
In 2017, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted the documentation to UNESCO to consider the recognition of the practice of Then as a world intangible cultural heritage.
