Quang Ninh greeted over 7.7 mln tourist arrivals in 2015, a year-on-year rise of 103% compared to the same period of 2014, according to the latest statistics by the Quang Ninh department of Culture, Sport and Tourism.
Of which, the number of foreign arrivals reached over 2.7 million, a 6% increase over a year earlier and tourist arrivals staying overnight were nearly 4 million.The total tourism revenue in the year gained 6.548 bln, up 19% in comparision with the same period last year.
In 2016, Quang Ninh tourism will focus on ensuring to raise the growth's quality. The sector will enhance exploitation and development activities in the orientation of protecting the environment, boost the regional connection in order to raise the quality of tourism products according to international standard.
