Quang Ninh received around 8.6 million tourists in the first ten months of the year, up 18 percent over the same period last year, reported the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism.
Of which, the number of foreign tourist arrivals hit 3.37 million, a year-on-year increase of 21%. The total tourism revenue is estimated at 15,000 billion, up 38 percent against the same period of 2016.
Meanwhile, the province received 618,000 tourist arrivals and gained VND 1,359 billion in revenue in October.
In the rest months of the year, the Tourism Department of Quang Ninh continues to strictly undertake effective measures to ensure the proper operation of the travel agencíes, tourist guiders, shops for tourists; enhance inspection of hotels, travel agencies, tourism businesses and all accomodation units operating provincewide.
In order to allure international and domestic tourists to Quang Ninh, especailly in the winter time, tourism promotion activities will also be intensifed.
