Accordingly, children living with HIV/AIDS have all tuition fees at state-run schools (excluding primary schools) covered. They also receive money to partly cover tuition fees at private schools, study costs at schools, and costs of opportunistic disease treatment.
An assistance worth VND 3-6 million will be given to each of those who are sexually abused or victims of injuries or violence that lead to severe disability or death.
Child patients who face medical check-up and treatment costs of at least VND 10 million are to receive financial assistance once or twice in the 2012-2015 period. Children who are from poor families, remote areas or infected with HIV will have the costs covered by 100%, 70% or 50%.
