On Nov.14, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc inspected the key transport projects, which are planned to be inaugurated in late December.
As reported, to date, most of the projects’ components have been speed up to be completed. Of which, the construction of the airport has been basically completed for the acceptance of construction work by the State Council from Nov. 15-20; Quang Ninh province has reported to the Transport Ministry to submitt to the Prime Minister for permiting the airport to go into use by December 25-30, 2018.
Hon Gai International Passenger Port was designed to have a 524m quay that is able to receive two cruise ships with capacity of up to 225,000GT at the same time has been finished. Particularly, the five-star terminal covering an area of 7,600 m2 is expected to be fulfilled by early December this year.
Regarding the Ha Long-Van Don expressway project, 93 percent of the total construction work has been completed. It will be put into operation by Dec. 25.
Inspecting the projects, Secretary Nguyen Van Doc highly appreciated the efforts of the investors and contractors, who have actively accompanied Quang Ninh province in carrying out its development plans.
He then emphasized the significant roles of these key transport projects in reflecting the Quang Ninh’s renovation in mobilizing resources and attracting investment in developing transport infrastructure. Having said that, he then requested the investors and contractors to make the best efforts to complete the remaining components of the projects so that they would be all inaugurated as scheduled and effectively operated.
