48 events in the series of events during the National Tourism Year 2018 will be held in Quang Ninh. This information was released at a conference on October 31 in Ha Long city regarding the organization of the National Tourism Year 2018.
The closing ceremony of the National Tourism Year 2018, the opening ceremony of the Asean Tourism Forum 2019 and the Ha Long Open Golf tournament 2019 are scheduled to be held on January, 2019 at the FLC Ha Long resort (in Ha Long city).
Other cultural, sport and tourism events will take place in 14 localities of the province.
The Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy stressed that the National Tourism year 2018 is one of the national vital events to boost tourism development. Therefore, she directed all the relevant sectors and departments to closely collaborate with each other so as to ensure the best conditions for the events.
She asked the departments of Tourism, Information and Communications to complete the draft plans for the organization and propaganda of the National Tourism 2018 by Nov. 3 to submit to the QNPPC for approval.
