Once heavily dependent on the summer tourism season, Quang Ninh is now working to establish itself as a “four-season destination” on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region. Through a diverse range of cultural and spiritual tourism, marine and island tourism, eco-tourism and border tourism products, together with continuous efforts to refresh visitor experiences, the province is making effective use of its rich tourism potential and resources, helping attract visitors throughout the year.
To reduce seasonality, Quang Ninh is diversifying its tourism products to suit different seasons: marine and island tourism in summer, cultural and spiritual tourism in spring, and hot-spring resorts and nature-based experiences in autumn and winter. A year-round calendar of cultural and sporting events, festivals and MICE activities is also being developed.
Beyond creating new tourism products, these events are expected to extend visitor stays, increase visitor spending and maintain the province's tourism appeal throughout the year. With its expanded development space, Quang Ninh City aims to continue restructuring its tourism products towards a year-round model.
At the same time, the city will promote connectivity infrastructure, digital transformation and the heritage economy, with the goal of extending visitor stays, increasing tourism spending and establishing Quang Ninh as an attractive four-season destination.
