Following the Provincial People’s Committee’s direction on transferring the channel of QTV from SD technology to HD one in the period of 2018-2020, the Quang Ninh Media Group has invested in a new equipment system and started to put the channel into a trial run.
Since March 15, 2019, QTV1HD channel has broadcasted on trial on the DVB-T2 digital terrestrial system and the VTC satellite TV system. It is reported by its technical officials that the quality of image and sound on QTV1 has met the HD standard. The channel is expected to officially broadcast on May 15, 2019.
The broadcast of television programs satisfying the HD standard is considered Quang Ninh Media Group’s important step towards the better production of television programs.
