On July 29, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Cao Tuong Huy had a courtesy meeting with a delegation of visiting Japanese Ministry for Internal Affairs and Communications headed by State Minister Junji Suzuki, on the occasion of their working visit in Vietnam.
Receiving the guests, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Cao Tuong Huy made a brief introduction of Quang Ninh's highlights in its socio-economic development in recent years. He emphasized that there are now 22 projects under Japan’s ODA implemented in Quang Ninh with a total capital of over VND 5,600 billion, focusing on the key areas such as: infrastructure construction, transport, environmental protection, etc.
"Those projects have not only made important contributions to the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh but also help to further develop the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan in general and between Quang Ninh and Japan's localities in particular", said the Vice Chairman.
Mr. Cao Tuong Huy also strongly affirmed that Quang Ninh pledges to manage and effectively use Japanese investment resources in the following years focusing on projects wastewater treatment in Ha Long City and Ha Long Bay environmental protection.
On his part, Japanese State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Junji Suzuki affirmed that the extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan has been effectively developed in many areas. Mr. Junji Suzuki said that the Japanese State Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications will continue to pay much concerns with intensifying cooperation between Japanese organizations, localities and enterprises and the ones of Quang Ninh province. In particular, tourism, human resource training and environmental protection will be prioritized to be developed.
