On May 14, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thang chaired a meeting with a delegation of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts.
As a non-profit organization, the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts gathers many leading Vietnamese scientists and experts working in 16 countries around the world in many fields. At the meeting, Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong, Chairman of the Association informed that the Association plans to hold the Creativeness and Innovation and Education Forums in Ha Long City, as well as to establish a Knowledge Center with an area of 30ha in Van Don district. He, therefore, wished to receive Quang Ninh’s support so that the project would be successfully carried out.
Highly appreciating the Association’s proposals, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thang stressed that this will be a good opportunity for Quang Ninh to promote its potential and strengths to the delegates attending the Forums.
“The organization of the Creativeness and Innovation forum and Education forum will bring Quang Ninh more cooperation opportunities to attract investments into the province”, he added.
Having said that, Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Thang asked relevant sectors and deparments to collaborate with the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts to implement all the plan’s contents.
Regarding to the establishement of the Knowledge Center in Van Don district, he directed the Association and relevant departments to conduct a survey of the land and set up specific plan for building the Knowledge Center, in which the contents related to legal status and the mobilization of financial sources must be clarified.
