On Oct. 3, in Ha Long city, Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Vu Thi Thuy Thuy had a courtesy meeting with a delegation of Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney (Australia) and in Yuinan, Nanning (China).
Vice chairwoman made a brief introduction to the delegation about Quang Ninh’s potential and strengths, as well as its development orientation. She especially focused on great potential for tourism development and energy industry.
“Over the years, Quang Ninh has concentrated on administrative reforms and put high priority on infrastructure development. Moreoever, seaports, transport infrastructure have been much improved”, she added.
“With its rapid growth in recent years, Quang Ninh has allured a lot of domestic and foreign investors, particularly strategic investors to the province”, said the Chairwoman at the meeting.
She hoped that the consulate generals of Vietnam in Sydney (Australia), Nanning, Yuinan, and Hong Kong (China) would introduce investors from these cities to Quang Ninh, to explore investment possibilities in the fields of seaports, tourism and trade; as well as help to tighten strategic partnership between Vietnam and Austrailia and China in general, between Quang Ninh and localities of these countries in particular.
The guests expressed their strong impression on Quang Ninh’s advantages and its growth, and affirmed to call for investments in terms of trade, commodities export, education and tourism into Quang Ninh.
During this visit, the degation undertook a survey to Van Don and Mong Cai border economic zones.
