Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long had a coutersy meeting with Prime Minister of Romania Dacian Ciolos on Jul. 13, in Ha Long city, on the occasion of his working visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Duc Long expressed his pleasure to welcome the PM and his delegation to Quang Ninh. He then introduced to the delegation a snap shot of Quang Ninh's potential and advantages for socio-economic development. He particulalry focused on the implementation of the province's development strategy. He added that Quang Ninh has strongly mobilized all resources to invest in transport infrastructure, especially projects on Ha Long- Hai Phong Highway or Van Don Airport; and Van Don Special Economic Zone. Long strongly affirmed once completed, they will contribute to completing a route connecting the key northern economic triangle, Ha Noi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh. The projects are also expected to increase investment in Quang Ninh, contributing to the province's socio-economic development.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Long expressed his hopes to receive more concerns from Romanian investors and cooperation programs in traning human resources. He also wished that the World heritage site Ha Long bay would be promoted to international friends, especially to the Romanian people.
The Romanian Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, in turn, sincerely thanked Quang Ninh's leader for his warm reception, strongly affirming that his working visit to Vietnam is very important, contributing to boosting the cooperation tie between Romania and Vietnam in general, and with Quang Ninh province in particular.
After the meeting, the PM and his delegation visited Ha Long bay and Quang Ninh museum.
