On June 21, Quang Ninh’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang had a courtesy reception to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam, Pranay Verma.
Quang Ninh’s Chairman thanked the concern of the Indian Embassy to Vietnam in general and the sentiment of the Ambassador and his spouse in particular for Quang Ninh. Many projects which India supported Quang Ninh such as Jaipur Foot for disabled and the construction of housing for the elderly and disabled at Quang Ninh’s center for social protection have contributed to ensuring social welfare and development of the province.
The Indian Ambassador expressed his willingness in promoting the openning of direct flights from India to Vietnam, including to Van Don International Airport. He also suggested Quang Ninh to invite Indian Bollywood film makers to make famous movies popularizing Quang Ninh as a friendly, safe and attractive destination to India, thus creating good opportunities for tourism promotion between the two sides.
