On the afternoon of Aug.3, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang had a courtesy meeting with Mr William Ward, Director of Clipper Ventures Co. and his colleagues during their working visit in Quang Ninh province.
At the reception, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Van Thang introduced outstanding values of Ha Long Bay – the World Natural Heritage and Wonder to the delegation. Thus, if the Clipper round the World Yacht Race chooses Ha Long as one of its destinations, it will be a great opportuniy for both sides. With the reputation and attraction of the race, the image of Ha Long - Quang Ninh will surely be known by more international visitors. Quang Ninh’s Chairman also expressed his desire that Quang Ninh Province and Clipper Ventures Company would have long-term cooperation opportunities, especially in tourism promotion.
Thanks for Quang Ninh leader’s warm welcome, Mr William Ward affirmed that this year, Ha Long is not one of the Clipper race’s destinations, however, one team from Quang Ninh will join the race. The Clipper Ventures Co.’s media staff will support Quang Ninh to promote its tourism image to international friends.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is annually held with the attendance of about 70 race crews. The race will last for 11 months with a total length of over 40,000 nautical miles. The event will start on Aug.22, 2019, departing from St Kathanrine Docks port, London, UK and going through 10 countries and run until Aug.2020.
