In the afternoon of November 25, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy chaired the meeting to review the plan to co-organize the Vietnam Startup Innovation Day (Techfest) 2019 in Quang Ninh.
Techfest Vietnam is the biggest annual event for the innovative startup community in Vietnam, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is an important event for startups to approach domestic and international potential customers, investors, experts, support organizations and media organizations. Techfest Vietnam is also an opportunity for stakeholders in the innovative startup ecosystem to share knowledge, experiences and connect together, at the local, national level of Vietnam and also at the regional level.
Techfest Vietnam 2019 is planned to be held in Quang Ninh from December 4-6. The event is expected to attract 6,000 participants, including about 800 startups, 300 international investors and funds, 300 businesses and large economic groups, and support organizations, as well as national and international experts. In particular, Techfest 2019 will be attended by startup communities, investors, speakers from over 50 countries and territories.
Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairwoman emphasized that hosting the Techfest Vietnam 2019 event brings Quang Ninh a good opportunity to promote its image and brand. She then requested the Department of Science and Technology to directly work with the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises to effectively organize programs within the framework of the event, and Ha Long University to set up teams of volunteers who will welcome and give guidance to the guests in a professional way, meanwhile Quang Ninh Media Group is assigned to enhance propaganda activities before and during the event.
