On the morning of July 17, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman, Vu Thi Thu Thuy, and relevant departments and sectors received sponsored scholarships for undergraduate, postgraduate training and English courses with a total value of 13 bil. VND from British University Vietnam and Apollo Education and Training Organization Vietnam in the school year 2019 – 2020.
Representatives of the sponsors expressed their willingness to support English teaching activities as well as international programs at high-schools and vocational training schools in the province. In reply to the support from British University Vietnam and Apollo Education and Training Organization Vietnam, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy affirmed that Quang Ninh always encourages institutions of international education and training to seek cooperation opportunities regarding foreign language teaching, in the province especially in the context that the international tourist arrivals is sharply increasing to Quang Ninh. Therefore, the proficiency in English in the tourism field and other economic sectors is needed.
Vice Chairwoman also emphasized that the presence of international education and training brands such as the British University and the Apollo Education and Training Organization plays an important role in improving locals’ English skills, thus serving the requirement of Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development.
