On the evening of July 17, in Ha Long City, Vice Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Le Thi Kim Cuc, had a courtesy reception to the delegation of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship led by Vice Chairman, Das Saktidhar during his working visit to Quang Ninh.
At the reception, Vice Chairwoman Le Thi Kim Cuc informed the delegation about great achievements in Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development. With its effective administrative reform, Quang Ninh has attracted a great number of foreign investors including Indian. The provinve pledges to create favorable conditions for investors in general and Indian investors in particular to implement investment in Quang Ninh, especially in the fields of high-tech, information technology, tourism. She highly appreciated the good and close relationship between Vietnam and India in general and Quang Ninh province with Indian provinces and cities in particular in recent years. She also hoped that the two sides will continue to enhance the strong cooperation in the fields of vocational training, tourism, investment and trade.
Vice Chairman of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship, Das Saktidhar, thanked for the warm reception of leaders of Quang Ninh Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and expressed his impression on the province’s great development and renovation. He said that currently, the Indian government has provided a scholarship program on education, training and capacity building that Quang Ninh Province could coordinate and attend.
Regarding cooperation for economic development, Mr Das Saktidhar said that he will make his best efforts to introduce Quang Ninh Province’s potential and advantages to Indian enterprises. He hoped the two sides would boost cooperation in tourism and IT fields, regularly enhance information exchange and enhance people-to-people diplomacy. He also wished that in the coming time, India and Vietnam would continue to promote the friendship and cooperation tradition, contributing to develop bilateral relations of the two countries to a new height.
