Quang Ninh received 2.7 million tourist arrivals in the first 2 months of 2019, a year on year increase of 10%, according to Quang Ninh’s Department of Tourism.
The number of international arrivals to Quang Ninh was 910,000. They are mainly from China, South Korea, Japan, the USA and Europe. Tourism revenues in the first 2 months reached nearly 5,000 billion VND, an increase of 25% over the same period last year while equal to 18% of the year’s plan.
To implement 2019 working theme of improving the quality and efficiency of services, Quang Ninh’s tourism sector focuses on the management of tourism business environment, the improvement and diversification of tourism products and services. It plans to receive 14 million tourist arrivals, including 6 million international arrivals this year and earns a revenue of around 27, 000 billion VND.
