On Dec.18, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Department of Tourism held a conference to summarize its activities in 2019 and deploy tasks for 2020.
In 2019, along with strengthening management solutions for tourism services, the tourism sector has focused on propagandizing, advertizing, promoting and developing tourism products, creating a great magnet for tourists. The total number of tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh reached 14 mil., a 14% year on year increase. Of which, international tourist arrivals achieved 5.7 mil., up 15% compared to 2018. The total tourism revenue gained nearly 29.4 tril.VND, contributing more than 3.5 tril.VND to the tourism sector’s domestic budget collection.
On this occasion, groups and individuals who have excellent achievements in the year 2019’s tourism activities were granted Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee.
