On the afternoon of July 30, in Ha Long city, the 13th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council for the 2016-2021 term wrapped up after two working days.
On the afternoon of July 30, after 2 days in responsible, democratic, objective and scientific working spirit, the 13th Congress of the Provincial People's Council of the term XIII was closed. Based on the evaluation of the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year, all the councilors adopted a number of tasks for the 6 remaining months.
Accordingly, Quang Ninh province strives to reach over 11.6 percent of the whole year's growth rate. The province targets to gain over VND 42,500 billion in budget collection, as well as concentrate on public investment management and accelerate disbursement of new rural construction program. In addition, Quang Ninh aims to maintain its position in the PCI and PAR INDEX rankings.
Particularly, Quang Ninh continues to effectively carry out social welfare policies; improving the quality of education and training, and human resources for the province, of which resolutions related to attracting highly qualified lecturers and the best students to Ha Long University that have been passed at this meeting needs to be implemented as soon as possible.
