Within the framework of tranining course on administrative reform and e-government development at the Nanyang Technology University in Singapore, on September 17, a delegation of Quang Ninh provincial officials led by Mr. Tran Minh Van, who is a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Head of Quang Ninh’s delegation of National Assembly,visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore.
Receiving the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung- the Minister Counsellor and Deputy Ambassador, has talked with the delegation about the close and friendly relationship between Vietnam and Singapore. He then also made a brief introduction of major coopreation areas that the two countries have achieved good results, notably economics, trade and education. During the discussion, the Quang Ninh provincial officials were advised the way in which the province should attract the investment from Singapore.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Tran Van Minh has presented the development orientation of Quang Ninh, focusing on the establishment of the Van Don special economic andadministrative zone. He recommended the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore to support the province in three major areas, including calling for investment, promoting tourism, and assisting the province’s delegations during their study in Singapore, based on the signed agreements.
Representing for the Embassy, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung confirmed the Embassy’s strong support to Quang Ninh to enhance the cooperation in various fields between the province and Singapore.
On the same day, the delegation visited and studied the model of Chong Pang community club – an effective way of social management and organization of social activities for residential areas in Singapore.
