Quang Ninh Museum welcomes over 11,000 visitors

More than 11,000 locals and tourists visited Quang Ninh Museum in January, showing a 113 percent increase year on year, reported the Museum of Quang Ninh province.

The revenue earned from ticket selling in the first month of a new year raised by 126 percent to over VND 213 million.

In 2018, Quang Ninh Museum greeted 220,000 visitor arrivals, including 44,000 international arrivals. The revenue from tickets reached over VND 4 billion.

In 2019, the museum targets to attract more than 200,000 arrivals and collect over VND 5.2 billion from selling tickets.

In order to offer visitors with the best services, especially during Tet holiday, the museum will open from 6pm to 10pm on Feb. 4 (or the last day of this lunar year).  During Feb. 6 - 10, it will open from 9am to 4.30 pm. From Feb.11, the museum will open as usual.

Situated at Hong Hai Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Library and Museum has a total area of 1,500 square meters. The complex built with an investment of VND900 billion to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the province.

Quang Ninh Library and Museum comprises three main areas including a special component focused on Vietnam’s past, a museum of natural sciences offering visitors a trip through the history of the province, and an auditorium for cultural performances.

Quang Ninh Museum is divided into three floors. Floor 1 introduces natural conditions of Quang Ninh; floor 2 is designed with a model of a boat and floor 3 symbols some developing periods of coal mining industry. The library consists of a main hall, reading rooms, book exhibition and seminar rooms.

Quang Ninh Library and Museum has been chosen as the building of the year 2013 by the Vietnam Urban Development and Planning Association.
