On May 4, at the FLC Ha Long complex, Quang Ninh hosted a conference to meet enterprises in the 2nd quarter with the participation of 700 investors and enterprises. During the conference, provincial leaders not only informed the delegates about policies and direction of Quang Ninh’s socio-economic development in 2019 and in the next coming years but also listened to difficulties facing the enterprises and businessmen.
Through the conference, Quang Ninh expected to receive feedback and proposals from the enterprises to continue to develop and complete policies and incentives and design effective solutions to improve the invesment climate and facilitate enterprises to promote their production and business.
Earlier, ideas and proposals given by the enterprises and businessmen had been collected and sent to the provincial functional authorities to consider and answer at this conference.
The organization of meetings with enterprises has regularly been held by Quang Ninh province for many years, and highly appreciated by the business community. In addition, the model of “Having coffee with businessmen” have been maintained with the participation of provincial leaders and relevant sectors and departments. These are open information channels for Quang Ninh’s leaders to meet and share with the businessmen about development orientation of the province, as well as understand their expectation and difficulties that then quickly address in effective ways.
For years, the business community has high trust and good appraisals about the business environment of Quang Ninh. Therefore, Quang Ninh’s tireless efforts in improving investment and business climate has been paid off with the top position in PCI ranking in two consecutive years (2017-2018).
Quang Ninh understands that along with outstanding achievements, the enterprises also have to cope with challenges and difficulties arising in its growth process due to changes occuring in the markets. Therefore, enterprises need to be accompanied by the province to support them in timely tackle the difficulties to save their time and cost and speed up the investment. A number issues that negatively affect the business community’s production and investments, such as: difficulties facing the small and medium enterprises, and cooperatives in accessing the credit capital sources; the delay in the land clearance, the incomprehensive policies and mechanisms related to the land and the export-import of goods.
Therefore, attending the conferences, business community expected that their difficulties would be timely addressed by appropriate sollutions. For its part, Quang Ninh wished to receive consultancy from experts and proposals from businesses to contribute to develop an attractive investment and business climate bringing benefits to both enterprises and the province.
