On Feb 4th, Quang Ninh’s Chairman, Nguyen Van Thang, presided over the meeting on the implementation of PM’s urgent dispatch No.156/CĐ-TTg dated Feb 2nd 20202 regarding the reception of Vietnamese citizens from nCoV-hit areas via Van Don International Airport.
Accordingly, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee issued Official Document No.508/UBND-DL2 on the procedures of receiving Vietnamese people and tourists from China on flights to Van Don International Airport.
The procedures has been detailed, including receiving information about flights, organizing reception; arranging human sources, facilities as well as preventive medics for defection and isolation; making response plans in case if there are any infected returnees on board…
To conclude the meeting, Quang Ninh’s Chairman said that Van Don International Airport was the only airport in the North of Vietnam to receive repatriates from hit areas, which is considered a vital task.
Having said that, he affirmed that the province will closely work with ministries and departments, especially with the Ministry of Defense, in receiving, isolating and monitoring returnees from disease hit-areas via Van Don International Airport, in line with the PM’s guidance.
