As one of works to mark the 50th Anniversary of Quang Ninh Province’s foundation, the construction of Quang Ninh Library and Museum is basically complete. It is entering the final stage of installation and display. Preparation for display objects are being urgently undertaken to ensure the inauguration is on schedule.
According to geological map, Dong Dan Commune, in Hoanh Bo District, is a place where there is a large quantity rock rich in crude oil. It took the survey team 3 hours to reach the rock ore. There, they took samples and evaluated the geological features of the area. The sample is one of the specific geological characteristics of Quang Ninh’s land to be showcased at Quang Ninh's Library and Museum.
Along with oil-rich rocks, the team collected a number of typical objects, representative of the geological features of some localities, such as Gieng Day porcelain clay, Vinh Thuc crystal sand, and Quang Hanh mineral water. To date, the collection of geological objects is 80% complete.
