On October 2, in Ha Long city, the opening ceremony of the Lifelong learning week 2017 was held with a theme of “Learning to improve personality and foster individuality”. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Education and Training, along with leaders of Quang Ninh province.
Taking place from Oct. 2-8, the lifelong learning week is a hightlight activity of the year that aims to draw the attendance of departments and sectors, organizations and people at all levels. It encourages people to continuously learn to develop a learning society. This event is also one of the solutions to fullfil the national educational system.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Phung Xuan Nha highly appreciated achievemens of the Quang Ninh department of Education and Training in developing a learning society in recent years.
He asked Quang Ninh's education sector to continue their best in order to gain good results in teaching and learning; intensify disciplines, rules and democracy in schools, create a safe and friendly education environment, and focus on raising the quality of education and training, etc.
On this occasion, minister Phung Xuan Nha had a working session with leaders of Quang Ninh and paid a visit to some of the educational unist based Dong Trieu town.
