On Jul. 25, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province organized a ceremony to honor over 200 national contributors and 40 representative organizations and individuals who had great contribution to the movement of taking care of invalids and martyr's families.
As reported, Quang Ninh is currently granting monthly allowances for over 14,600 national contributors. Over the years, the province's leaders always determine that in parrallel with the socio-economic development, taking care of the national contributors is one of the most important political tasks.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers' Day, Quang Ninh granted an amount of nearly VND 19 billion to present gifts to over 18,634 cases.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee Nguyen Van Doc extended his deep gratitude to martyrs, invalids and their families for their great contributions and precious sacrifice in the struggle to defend the country’s independence. He also treasured active contribution of all the localities, organizations and individuals in the movement of taking care of the national contributors.
He requested authories, organizations and sectors at all levels in Quang Ninh to continue to pay more attention to take care of the national contributors and focus on improving their life.
"The wounded soldiers and their families must be offered with the best conditions to promote their spirit of sefl-reliance, develop the production and improve their life", added the Secretary.
The Provincial Party leader wished all the Vietnamese heroic mothers, invalids and people who rendered services to the nation for their great contributions to the national liberation and development to have good health and better life, and always to be good examples for the younger generation.
Also at the ceremony, Quang Ninh's leaders presented gifts to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the contributors in the province.
