Quang Ninh honors its excellent athletes and coaches at 30th SEA Games

On December 14, Quang Ninh province held a meeting to congratulate and rewarded its athletes and coaches on their outstanding achievements which partly contributed to the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 30^th Southeast Asian Games.

Participating in the Vietnam's 30th SEA Games delegation, Quang Ninh has 12 members including Mr. Pham Thanh Hung (Head of the Women's Football Union), Coach Doan Minh Hai (Women's football), Coach Le Thi Hien in Volleyball and 9 athletes including Pham Thi Hue (Athletics); Nguyen Thi Van, Duong Thi Van, Le Thi Diem My, Khong Thi Hang (Women's football); Ngo Dinh Chuyen (Swimming); Chau Kieu Oanh (Archery); Le Thi Hong and Le Thi Yen (Women's volleyball).

Quang Ninh athletes and coaches delegation brought home 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. This is the highest-ever achievements of Quang Ninh Sports so far since the first time participation in Vietnam SEA Games delegation.

Highlighting the outstanding achievements of Quang Ninh sports delegation at 30th SEA Games, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky affirmed that these are achievements have significantly contributed to the overall success of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 30th SEA Games and also marked the pride of Quang Ninh sport, thereby, continuing to affirm Quang Ninh ’s position in the fields of sports and culture.

Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Commitee also stressed that at the 31th SEA Games which will be hosted in Vietnam, Quang Ninh will be one of the places where some sports will be held. He, therefore, hoped that Quang Ninh athletes and coaches would continue their training as soon as possible, and making efforts to bring more success for the province and the country.

On this occasion, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee granted Certificates of Merit, and a reward with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND, to the coaches and athletes of the province with high achievements at the 30th SEA Games.
