On July 15, in Ha Noi, the National Administration of Tourism in collaboration with Vietnam Tourism Association, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism co-organized the ceremony to honour the winners of Vietnam Tourism Awards 2019.

The Vietnam Tourism Award is the highest prize of the tourism industry, held annually since 1999 in order to honor organizations, businesses and individuals with contribution to the development of the tourism industry and building the national tourism brand.
Six businesses based in Quang Ninh won first prizes at five categories. Specifically, Vinpearl Resort & Spa Halong won Vietnam’s best 5-star hotel; Sai Gon-Ha Long won Vietnam’s best 4 star hotel prize; Bhaya Cruise Ha Long’s Bay and Paradise Vietnam shared best waterway transporter prize while Lang Chai Ha Long was honored with Vietnam’s Best Touristic Restaurant; Sunworld Ha Long Complex won Vietnam’s best tourist and entertainment complex prize.
This year, 100 prizes were granted to best performers.
In 2019, the award also honored outstanding educational institutions providing human resources for the industry and media agencies with great contribution to tourism development.
