The delegation of Quang Ninh province led by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thang is having a working visit in Japan from Sep. 14-18.
During this visit, attending the Vietnam Festival 2019 held in Hokkaido's Sapporo city is one of the main activities of Quang Ninh delegation in Japan.
This year's festival attracts the participation of nearly 20 goods booths displaying food stalls and handicrafts that feature Vietnam's tourism potential. Joining the festival, visitors have a chance to enjoy not only Vietnamese cuisine but also cultural art performances with rich Vietnamese identity.
Besides, Quang Ninh delegation had talks with Hokkaido's governors on some of the fields for which both sides have rich potential, such as: education and training, tourism, economic development cooperation and environmental protection.
Specifically, in the field of education and training, Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Thang wished to receive Japan's coordination, especially cooperation with Ha Long University in training high-quality human resources for Quang Ninh province in particular and Vietnam in general.
Regarding tourism, he suggested return flights from Quang Ninh's Van Don International Airport to Hokkaido prefecture, thereby facilitating the two sides to effectively tap tourism potential and advantages.
On behalf of the delegation, Chairman Nguyen Van Thang expressed his gratitude to Japan in general and Hokkaido prefecture in particular for their cooperation and accompanying with Quang Ninh province over the years in the environmental protection, and hoped that the partnership of both sides in this area would be further promoted in the upcoming time. In addition, he also wished that Japanese experts would support Quang Ninh in the fields of business, aquaculture production as well as high-tech agriculture development.
