The island district of Co To is the first locality in Quang Ninh to complete the national population and housing census 5 days before the deadline.
The national population and housing census was conducted in Co To island district from April 1-25 and completed on April 20.
100% of investigators in the district used electronic survey sheets on mobile devices to collect information; the management and approval of data acceptance were carried on the Internet.
According to the statistics, the survey collected information from 1,750 households within the district, including 857 households in Co To town with a total of 3,050 people; 484 households in Dong Tien commune with 1,716 people and 409 ones in Thanh Lan with 1,395 people.
Viet Nam conducts the national population and housing census every ten years, and this is the 8th census. The 2019 population and housing census is the biggest one. The data will be gathered over the course of 25 days beginning April 1, 2019, with the preliminary results to be announced in July, 2019.
