The Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) of Quang Ninh province held a solemn ceremony on May 22 at Trinh pagoda (Yen Tu relic site, Uong Bi city) to celebrate Lord Buddha's birthday.
The ceremony drew the participation of a large amount of dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers.
At the ceremony, after listening to the message by the Chairman of the VBS Central Committee Executive Board, participants offered incenses to remember the Buddha, praying for the peace and happiness for the people nationwide.
The Vesak week is a significant event for all the monks, nuns and followers commemorate the birth of the Lord Buddha and intensify the great Vietnam national unity, as well.
