Quang Ninh bags medal at 19th Asian Physics Olympiad for first time

According to the Quang Ninh Education and Training Department, the 19th Asian Physics Olympiad concluded in Ha Noi on May 12, with the Vietnamese eight-member delegation winning four gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

The four gold medals belong to Tran Duc Huy from Ha Noi - Amsterdam High School, Nguyen Ngoc Long from Lam Son High School of central Thanh Hoa Province, Nguyen Van Thanh Loi from Quang Trung High School of southern Binh Phuoc Province, Trinh Duy Hieu from Bac Giang High School of Bac Giang Province, and Nguyen Xuan Tan from Ha Noi National University.

As scheduled, these five students will be Vietnamese representatives to participate in the International Physics Olympiad 2018 in July in Portugar.

The rest medalists of Viet Nam are from Ha Noi, Thanh Hoa and Quang Ninh Province, including Le Ky Nam, from Ha Long High school for Gifted Students with bronze medal.

This is the first time Quang Ninh’s student has attended and won medal in Asian Physics Olympiad, which underscores the great effort of the provincial department in raising the quality of education and training.
