Quang Ninh attends the 39th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee

Quang Ninh's provincial delegation led by Mrs. Vu Thi Thu Thuy, Vicechairwoman of QNPPC attended the 39th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which was held from 28 June to 8 July 2015 in Bonn, Germany. The event drew the participation of nearly 1,500 delegates from 100 member countries of the World Heritage Convention.

Thirty-six sites are nominated for inscription on UNESCO's World Heritage List at this year's session. Also during its session, the Committee will also examine the state of conservation of 94 sites already on the World Heritage List, and of the 46 sites inscribed on the List of World Heritage in Danger.

The Quang Ninh provincial delegation had met with leaders of the World Heritage Center to discuss about the conservation of Ha Long bay. The delegation also worked with International Council of relics to made recommendations of Yen Tu Relics as the World Heritage.

As scheduled, the 40th session of UNESCO World Heritage Committee will be held from 10 July to 20 July in Instabul, Turkey.
