Quang Ninh assists poor, agent orange victims in Hoanh Bo

The Quang Ninh Red Cross in collaboration with Prudential Vietnam Insurance company yesterday visited and presented the Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts to poor households and Agent Orange (AO) victims in Quang La commune, Hoanh Bo district on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the AO/dioxin disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961-2016).

Sharing difficulties and damage due to natural disasters that the victims had to experience in the past time, the delegation wished people to have a warm and joyful Tet festival. They hoped poor households will make more efforts to improve their life.

25 Tet gifts were presented to the 25 poor households and AO victims who are living in Hoanh Bo district. As reported, the Prudential Vietnam Insurance company presented 50 gifts worth VND 25 mln to support the poor in Quang  Ninh province.

This is a practical and significant activity responding the movement namely "Tet for the Poor and AO victims" launched by the Vietnam Red Cross on the occasion of the New Year 2017.
