The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province and Vietnam Airlines (VNA) Corporation co-signed a strategic cooperation agreement to boost tourism, trade and investment promotion, expanding flights connection from and to Van Don International Airport, as well as advertising destination brands of Quang Ninh and Vietnam Airlines’ services.
Accordingly, Quang Ninh will prepare facilities and grant speical support mechanisms for VNA’s new air routes to Van Don Airport in the first stage aiming at attracting tourists to Quang Ninh, and boost Quang Ninh’s image to the key tourism markets in Europe, Australia, and the Northeast Asian countries.
Vietnam Airlines pledged to expand both international and domestic flights from and to Van Don Airport in 2018 and beyond. It will collaborate with Quang Ninh to carry out tourism and investment promotion plans and sponsor national and international cultural, art and tourism events during 2018-2021.
The cooperation agreement aims to boost tourist attractions of Quang Ninh VNA’s products and services on the both sides’ medias.
Over the years, Vietnam Airlines has effectively cooperated with Quang Ninh in tourism and trade promotion by distributing tourism publications at its branch officies in Vietnam and in overseas and advertising Quang Ninh tourism on Vietnam Airlines’ publications, including the Heritage magazine. In addition, both sides have co-organized social activities to support the poor. For instance, in April of 2017, Vietnam Airlines planted 50,000 trees in order to improve the environment of waste areas in Quang Ninh.
