Quang Ninh and Russia boost cooperation in health care

On Jun. 6, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy chaired a meeting with a delegation of the Russian medical experts regarding the proposal of building Vietnam-Russia International Hospital in Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long city.

Presenting the proposal of drawing the planning on building the Vietnam-Russia International hospital in Quang Ninh, the Russian Medical Professor, Aesthestic- Plastic Surgeon Natalia Manturova informed that the hospital will be an international hospital with high-end equipments. It speacializes in serving treatments of eyes, fucntional recovery for the elderly and aesthetic-plastic surgery.

The project will be invested by the Vietnam-Russia Eye Hospital Jointstock Company, with the total estimated capital of VND 220 bln. It is expected to promote a new tourism type, called "Medical Tourism" and contributing to the development of Quang Ninh's medical system in the orientation of effective and sustainable development in accrodance with the natural and social conditions of the province.

Speaking with the delegation, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy briefed an introduction of Quang Ninh's socio-economic development. She stressed that Quang Ninh is focusing on calling  investments to build more international hospitals, amining at meeting the increasing health care demands of not only the locals but also visitors. Therefore, Quang Ninh highly aprreaciates the ideas of building the Vietnam-Russia International hospital proposed by the delegation, and pledges to support and offer the investors the best facilities to implement this project.

Also at the meeting, the two sides have discussed about some of the new technologies that have been applied in the healthcare and medical treatment, and wish to establish the cooperation in not only health care but also in education and tourism.
