Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh received representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agencies (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

At the reception, Secretary Chinh made a strong affirmation that Japan is a long-lasting strategic partner of Quang Ninh province. He sincerely thanked Japanese for its strong support to strengthen the Quang Ninh – Japan cooperation and promote Japanese investment into Quang Ninh. He hoped that Japan will support the province in building industrial zones, including a high-tech industrial zone.

To date, Quang Ninh is the first locality in Vietnam that has prepared the scheme to promote Quang Ninh and Japan cooperation and attract investment from Japan into the province. Quang Ninh therefore received much support from the Vietnamese Government, JETRO and JICA... This will greatly contribute to boost comprehensive cooperation between Japan and Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular.

Speaking at the reception, the Chief Representative of JETRO Hirokazu Yamaoka pledged to support the province to approach Japanese enterprises and investors who wish to invest in Quang Ninh.

However, to successfully attract FDI depends not only on incentives and mechanisms but also the conditions that meet specific requirements of each Japanese enterprise. Therefore, Quang Ninh is advised by Japanese partners to learn from experiences of Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang or Hai Phong.

On the afternoon of the same day, Chairman of QNPPC worked with these two partners about detail contents of this agreement.
