Following Decision No.1282 issued by the Ministry of Health dated Mar 23, Quang Ninh Center for Disease Control is one of the 22 medical units approved by the Ministry of Health to test confirmed COVID 19.
Accordingly, Quang Ninh will be allowed to announce Covid 19 test results, instead of having to wait for the results from the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology as before. This plays an important role in quickly handling outbreaks and limiting cross contamination to the community. The lab of Quang Ninh Center for Disease Control ensures 100% of the criteria of the biosafety labs, level 2, equipment as well as high-quality and skilled staff. From early Feb until now, Quang Ninh Center for Disease Control has conducted more than 1,645 samples for Covid 19 tests, including 6 positive samples which are similar to the test results of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
