On Dec. 17, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman Cao Tuong Huy, hosted a reception for the United States' delegation led by Mr. Akash Deep, an expert on Finance management policies and Public Private Partnership (PPP) project implementation at the U.S Harvard University to discuss about some contents included of the PPP Investment Law draft.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Cao Tuong Huy informed that since 2013, 44 PPP projects have been implemented in Quang Ninh with a total capital of over VND 47,000 billion, including 10 percent of the capital sourced from the State budget which has mainly been spent on the land clearance.
He also shared Quang Ninh's experiences in managing and deploying the PPP projects as well as difficulties and obstacles during the projects implementation and suggested solutions. Emphasizing on the roles of the PPP law, Quang Ninh's Vice Chairman said that it is necessary to draw the Law to solve the shortcomings and obstacles over the past time and improving the quality and efficiency of PPP investment in the coming time.
Also at the meeting, besides the advantages, some of the issues in the draft were also analyzed.
