On July 3, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairman Bui Van Khang chaired a meeting with the Department of Foreign Affairs regarding Quang Ninh’s international cooperation affairs in 2015-2019 period.
As reported, in recent years, Quang Ninh province has always adhered to the guidelines of the Party and the State in implementing foreign affairs in an attempt to meet the province's socio-economic development requirements in a sustainable way.
As a result, international cooperation has been improved, and expanded; investment promotion and cooperation, international integration in fields of trade, border management, security, customs, tourism, as well as international cooperation in education and training have been promoted; a stable peace environment and sovereign security and border sovereignty has been maintained.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Bui Van Khang stressed that foreign affairs is an important task. He, therefore, suggested relevant departments and localities in the province should actively intensify international cooperation in all areas of trade, services, tourism, especially cooperation tie with European countries must be paid with much concerns, contributing to bringing economic efficiency and improving Quang Ninh's prestige...
He also asked the Department of Foreign Affairs to pay attention to training, improving the quality of the working staff and mastering all the Party's and the state's regulations on diplomatic work; He particularly directed the department to well prepare the organization of the promotion conference on economic corridors of China's Kunming with 4 Vietnam's provinces of Hai Phong - Hanoi - Lao Cai and of Quang Ninh, as well as set up unilateral plan for road survey and border evaluation.
