Provincial Secretary pays tribute to Quang Ninh's late leaders

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet), the Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee Nguyen Van Doc offered incense to commemorate the late leaders of Quang Ninh on Jan. 29, in Ha Long city.

The Provincial Secretary paid tribute to late Secretary Nguyen Thi, who was the secretary during the 6th provincial Party congress; late Secretary Le Dai during the 6th, 7th and 8th provincial Party congress; late Deputy Secretary of the provincial 6th and 7th Chairman Pham Hoanh from 1980 to 1988; late Chairman of the People’s Council Vu Da; late Chairman Le Van Duyen during the 9th and 10th provincial Party congress, and late Secretary Tran Ngoc Thu during the 10th provincial Party congress.

On behalf of the provincial leaders of Quang Ninh, Secretary Nguyen Van Doc expressed his gratitude to the late leaders who had significant contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and nation, as well as the development of the province in different periods. They are outstanding examples for the young generations.

The incense offering follows the Vietnamese tradition of paying tribute to ancestors and those who contributed to the nation on the occasion of the lunar New Year.

He wished relatives of the late provincial leaders a new year of good health, happiness and success, and encouraged them to carry forward their family traditions and to continue contributing to the country in general and Quang Ninh province in particular.
