On February 13, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Secretary cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Xuan Ky chaired a meeting regarding the province's economic growth scenario and the plan to implement public investment projects in 2020.
Addressing the meeeting, Quang Ninh’s Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky emphasized that the province strives to ensure that the economic growth in 2020 would reach over 12%, without adjusting 2020’seconomic – socio growth targets.
He then directed relevant departments and sector to ensure the deadline of some key projects, such as: The Provincial Administrative Public Center’s headquarter; The road connecting the main axis of Hai Ha Port Industrial Zone to Japan’s Toray Company; The road connecting 18 national road with Ha Long-Cam Pha coastal ring road and urban embellishment in Quang Hanh ward (Cam Pha city), etc. ...
Related to the development of agriculture - forestry - fishery, he asked relevant sectors to review and set new target for product development. In terms of tourism, it is necessary to focus on exploiting the domestic tourist market, in association with developing new and attractive tourism products and creating a strong connection with the southern market.
To conclude the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky made strong emphasis on the Covid-19 epidemic’s impacts on the provincial socio and economic development, and requested that security, social welfare and all resources must be used in an effective way.
